Alongside the release of Ire, Epitaph Records reissued Parkway Drive’s debut album Killing With A Smile in 2015, making it officially available in Germany for the first time. Originally recorded in 2005 after the band’s split CD with I Killed The Prom Queen and their EP Don’t Close Your Eyes, this debut full-length marked a turning point for the Byron Bay metalcore quintet. Produced by Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage), the album delivers eleven tracks of pure rage: low-pitched Gothenburg-style death metal riffs, crushing rhythms, sudden breakdowns, and blast beats that border on physical violence.
