Concrete Youth

Concrete Youth formed in early 2026, bringing together longtime friends with deep roots in the Jakarta hardcore scene. Built around a shared love for hardcore and pop punk they grew up with, the band combines the urgency of ’80s melodic hardcore with the hooks and energy of modern pop punk. Concrete Youth comprises members and ex-members of Final Attack, ZIP, Feel The Burn, Stand Clear and Rage of Despair.

The idea behind Concrete Youth had been around for almost two years before three songs written by guitarist Firdi Nodiansah brought the band together in early 2026. What started as a three song promo quickly developed into something more, with longtime friends and members of the Indonesian hardcore community joining Concrete Youth.

The lineup brings together Firdi Nodiansah on guitar, Widi on vocals, Iksan on drums, Indra Chino on bass and Ray on guitar. With years of experience playing shows, touring and sharing stages, the members have a history that goes beyond the band itself.

Their sound draws inspiration from bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Turning Point and Dag Nasty, alongside Set Your Goals, The Story So Far, No Pressure and Man Overboard. The result is energetic, melodic and rooted in hardcore, with an emphasis on strong songwriting rather than simply recreating the sound of a particular era.

For Concrete Youth, it comes down to energy, melody, friendship and having fun playing music together, with hardcore at the core and plenty of room for a good hook.
